Expo Seville 1992 represents a foundational milestone in our journey to create engaging exhibition and museum experiences. Our tasks focused on creating many pavilions for nations from across the continents and ranges from the concept design stages to the technical implementation.

As an official consultant for Expo Lisbon 1998, ACCIONA Cultura was responsible for developing several pavilions such as the Mexico, U.N, Turkey and Tunisia pavilions. The Turkey pavilion received the “Top Three National Pavilions” award and was also the most visited pavilion.

Water is Earth's vital resource and the essential component to life. Within an engaging exhibition space of 2,500 m² that is made with sustainable principles in mind, visitors can explore 12 sections that highlight water’s role in nature, its universal use at homes and its potential as a renewable source of energy.

The convention was a virtual event that gathered 4,000 attendees. Our concept design, scripting, content development, audiovisual production and operation ensured that participants engaged with activities on the streaming platform and offline at the physical event.

The architecture of Seville became the center stage for a spectacle of color and light. Through a show of lights and audiovisual projections, the facades acted as screens to display the sporting event and its participants. This show served to celebrate the start of UEFA Europa 2020 in Seville, one of the host cities of the competition.

The historic house of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan occupies a space between two historical timelines - the pre and post-oil era. Although it was built with modern materials, it retains the traditional spirit of the culture. And to maintain this, we were responsible for creating the set-designs, multimedia projections and optical theaters to bring the house back to life.

Toledo’s rich collection of historical monuments makes it the excellent stage to celebrate one of Spain’s greatest monarchs. On the 800th anniversary of the birth of King Alfonso X, we crafted and used a video mapping technique to celebrate his life and legacy in his own hometown. The unique show, which ran for over 3 days, was projected onto the facade of Toledo’s Cathedral. Another multimedia experience took place inside the Bisagra Gate’s Patio de Armas which aimed to educate children in a playful manner.

With our project management and guest relations services, we gave over 33 million fans the chance to award those that define football for them. The Globe Soccer Awards is the biggest football celebration that sheds a light on promising players to agents that distinguished themselves both on and off the pitch.

The Good Place by Expo Live is a pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai dedicated to innovators and their quest to make the world a better place. Visitors can appreciate social innovations from around the world and find a sense of purpose to create their own journey towards positive change.

The Liria Palace was once a home for a prominent family of collectors. Today, it is a space for those that hold a deep appreciation for art. To shed light on the stories of the palace, we created an immersive and sensorial journey which enables visitors to discover its history and heritage.

The memorial is dedicated to the founding father of the UAE. It celebrates the life, legacy and values of Sheikh Zayed while immersing visitors in the history and culture of his nation. Aspects of Emirati culture are revealed in an insightful multimedia experience along with artistic sculptural mediums such as “The Constellation” monument by Ralph Helmick.

Luz Toledo is an audiovisual show that brings the city to life at night. Through music, projections of moving images, 3D and lighting effects, the monuments and cultural buildings of Toledo help to tell a tale of its history to visitors like never before.

The title of the Spain Pavilion is “Spain, Energy for the Planet”. It aims to showcase innovative and pioneering capabilities in tackling climate change and promoting sustainable values. With 5 audiovisual productions, visitors can appreciate Spain’s potential to use its rich renewable resources for the betterment of our world.

We set the stage to showcase one of the world’s most modern and sustainable gas refineries. Through art direction and the use of an intricate lighting design system, 360 degree immersive audio visual show, we helped to highlight the “Qatar Vision 230” National Plan which aims to supply efficient energy to the entire country. This helps to communication a nation’s vision towards creating a sustainable future.

Royal Hunts were not merely a sport but an act of asserting authority over a land. This temporary exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art showcases the culture of hunting practiced by Islamic rulers through the use of diverse exhibits on display. An audiovisual floating dome is also used to bring the drama of the action to the visitors.

Francisco de Zurbarán was a Spanish painter during the 17th century who was known for his religious paintings depicting the clergy and saints. His work provides an insight into the world of ecclesiastical fashion. The exhibition, housed in the old dormitories of a monastery, also contains a catwalk that showcases dresses created by fashion designers who were inspired by the works of Zurbarán.

Traveling is an excellent medium to build meaningful human connections. This temporary exhibition located next to the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar Museums Gallery – Al Riwaq, is a celebration of Schachmann’s art which he created during his travels to the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century. The colorful and relaxing ambience further illuminates Schachmann’s efforts in sharing the Islamic world’s richness.

Beautifying religious manuscripts was an act of religious devotion. More than 200 works of art such as illuminated Qurans and calligraphy tools are on full display to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sakip Sabanci Museum. Along with virtual reality and interactive tablets, visitors can engage with the texts in an entertaining and educational manner.

Diplomacy is the art of maintaining peaceful relations between two nations. We created a temporary exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art that celebrates the cultural coexistence between the East and West. It tells the tale of the life and work of Hans Ludwig von Kuefstein, a great diplomat of the House of Hapsburg.

Our relationship with the ocean as a place to gather resources and a route is a universal element. The Russia Pavilion seeks to share its story with the world on how it explored the North Sea Route. The pavilion was awarded the Silver Medal for the Best Pavilion by the Bureau International Des Exposition and the People’s Choice Award by the Exhibitor Magazine.

Vivid, emotional and personal - these characteristics help to define the work of El Greco, a prominent painter from Crete who lived in Spain. The 200 works of Renaissance art are complemented with audiovisual exhibits at the Museum of El Greco in Toledo, a city in which the artist found an intellectual circle of friends and painters.

Art in religion aims to uplift the spirit and strengthen spirituality. Our museological approach adaptively reuses the historic building to maintain its Gothic allure. It showcases a collection of paintings and metalworks in a sensitive manner. Other mediums such as audiovisual projections are utilized to educate visitors on the story of the diocese and its role in shaping the identity of the city.

Crossing the Atlantic was a key moment in world history. The introduction of new goods and cross-cultural interactions helped to shape societies across the continents. With the use of digital and scenographic elements, visitors immerse themselves in a journey from the past - from boarding the ship, to daily life on the seas and the discovery of the New World.

Museum dedicated to soldiers and the conflicts they fought one instill a sense of heroism and sacrifice. The Museum of Armed Forces highlights how warfare with their respective tools evolved from prehistory to the 19th century. With over 5,000 artifacts on display aided by our museological approach, visitors can understand the history of the armed forces in an informative manner.

At night, light, sound and image awaken to create an unforgettable visitor experience at the Mosque of Cordoba. Art, architecture and religion come together through audiovisual effects to tell a tale of the city’s rich past and immerse visitors in the history of one of Spain’s greatest cities.

Calligraphy is more than just a communicative tool, it is a fundamental art form that defines Islamic art. And the Treasures of Aga Khan Museum is a celebration of that long-standing tradition. It contains over 100 objects that are exhibited in a manner that evokes a sense of spirituality.

The Grand Palais is transformed into the jewel of the East Mediterranean. The exhibition displays Constantinople’s 2,000 years of history from its time as the seat of the Eastern Roman Empire until the last years of the Ottoman Empire. The exhibition uses audiovisual exhibits and contains 500 artifacts from the world’s most renowned institutions such as the Louvre, Vatican Museums, British Museum and the Topkapi Museum.

Protecting the planet’s biodiversity is part of our quest towards sustainability. It is an essential process that ensures life on Earth continues to thrive. The exhibition, which consists of two large educational billboards and a kaleidoscope, showcases Barcelona’s commitment towards protecting the flora and fauna of our world.

The province of Aragon in Spain has a strong historical and cultural relationship with water. The Aragon Pavilion uses audiovisual exhibits to celebrate its promise in upholding sustainable uses of water. This is done so by showcasing photographs by Jose Veron, artwork projections, artistic installations and the spectacular audiovisual titled “Aragón: Water and Future”, directed by Carlos Saura.

The human figures on Classical ceramics are animated to tell a story of what life was like in Ancient Greece. The permanent exhibition at the Museum of Cycladic Art hosts a collection of archaeological artifacts related to scenes related to daily activities such as games, education, weddings, war and politics.

Within the splendor of Topkapi Palace, visitors can explore how faith and science reconcile with one another through 800 artifacts on display. The History of Science and Technology in Islam highlights the achievements of the Islamic world in the various fields of the arts and sciences. We developed the concept of the exhibition in collaboration with the Institute of Arab Science of the University of Goethe.

The Monastery of San Juan de La Peña continues to shape the identity of Huesca to this day. And the interpretation center aims to recreate the immaterial and material aspects of monastic life and its relationship to the city. By respecting the context and using various mediums of exhibition, we gave visitors an insight into the lives of those that call the monastery their home.

The story of the autonomous region of Andalusia is told through scenography and architecture. With a highly visual avant-garde design approach, visitors can learn about the unique history, identity behind the region throughout the museum. The institutions and symbols that define Andalusia are exhibited for all to explore.

The exhibition tells an epic tale of the milestone events of the 14th century. We exhibited over 150 artifacts that were loaned from various museums and projected a large mapping projection onto the facade of the Real Alcazar. Its success garnered the attention of various countries across the Mediterranean (Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt) and the UN headquarters in New York, who later hosted our efforts as a temporary exhibition.

Our collaboration with one of Turkey’s prominent architects, Hilmi Senalp, helped to create a pavilion grounded in its rich roots and traditions. With ancient geometry in mind and our commitment to high-quality technical production practices, the Turkey Pavilion received the Gold Medal for the Best Pavilion in 2005 by the Bureau International Des Expositions.

Through our comprehensive design, production and assembly of the event, we provide an informative and exciting annual event for our shareholders. Their constant support for our shared vision and engagement helps us to constantly refine our strategy in approaching next year’s event.

Valencia’s Museum of History is an opportunity for the visitor to uncover the city's cultural heritage. Through diverse exhibits ranging from showcases, scenographies, audiovisual effects and interactive devices, the city’s 10 layers are brought to life alongside videos that contain hundreds of actors explaining the history of the city.

Sherry is the South of Spain’s most important fortified wine. And as a result, a museum dedicated to its history, making and consumption is well deserved. Within the Wine Museum of Jerez, a large projections immerses visitors in the traditional processes of harvesting the grapes and producing sherry.

Telling the time has had a tremendous impact on history. It is required to create schedules and conduct scientific experiments. But the aesthetic of a clock had to reflect the importance of its function. The Palace of Time is a celebration of this history. Along with 300 timepieces on display and audiovisual effects such as Pepper-Ghost effects, we helped to realize a museological achievement in telling the story of time.

Warner Bros Studio is a household name in creating animations, movies and videogames. To bring its promise of entertainment to Germany, we crafted several areas within the theme park such as the bakery, photography shop, ice cream store and jewelry shop. Their timeless Americana feel helps to transport visitors to the magic of the film industry

The magic of Hollywood and the Californian dream found its way to Europe. And we were responsible for constructing a theme park that celebrates the world of cinema through the creation of stage sets and rides such as the “La Aventura del Río Bravo”, a 6,000 m2 unforgettable ride.

Dinosaurs are ferocious, large and extinct - the perfect combination to instill a sense of wonder to the minds of the young and old alike. But what if we could bring them back to life? Through stage-set creation, audiovisual effects and robotics, we created a large scale T-Rex along with life-like sounds and movements. It is the perfect experience for those wanting to witness what life on Earth looked like more than 65 million years ago.

An odyssey of mythical adventures awaits the visitors at Terra Mítica Theme Park. With a total of 25,000 m2, visitors can explore the ancient world from Greece to Egypt. Our thematic planning was to create believable stage-sets that make it the perfect place for spectacular live action performances and thrilling rides to take place.

The Sound and Light Show at Abu Simbel is a pioneering accomplishment in incorporating large format projections on archaeological splendors. Our vision to breathe life into these ancient wonders helped to tell a story of Ancient Thebes and its pharaohs. By creating an ambience steeped in history and mystery, visitors can be transported in time with ease.

Enter a fictitious utopian city with its own unique and colorful culture. The Great Adventure Hopi Hari Theme Park occupies an area of 760,000 m2. We were responsible for the thematic areas that make each part of the park fun to explore.

Transforming the site that was once dedicated for an Expo into a time capsule is no easy task. But with our passion to retell stories of the past, visitors can step back into the 16th century in the Americas. Our attention to the thematic planning of Isla Mágica Theme Parks helps recreate a sense of wonder and exploration that once defined the Age of Discovery.

Theme parks are a great place to foster happiness and a sense of community. We were responsible for creating the different zones in Port Aventura, Spain’s most popular theme park. Venturing into any parts of the world, whether in the Mediterranean or Polynesia, can be done with ease and excitement.
