Paleontological Museum of Valencia

The Paleontological Museum of Valencia reopens its doors with a fully renovated museographic design by ACCIONA Living & Culture. The project marks a major milestone in the museum’s 25-year history, combining the strength of its scientific legacy with new technologies to offer a dynamic and inclusive visitor experience.
One of the museum’s standout assets—Europe’s finest collection of South American Pleistocene fossils—now gains new value through enhanced storytelling and multisensory experiences. Visitors can explore over 5,000 fossilized bones and 20 reconstructed skeletons representing 20 mammal families, brought to life through interactive, audiovisual, and immersive formats.
The updated exhibition integrates augmented reality, immersive audiovisual rooms, interactive displays, 3D films, and large-scale visual storytelling, including a striking 20-meter cyclorama of prehistoric South America.
Among the key innovations are an augmented reality app that unlocks over 200 additional details throughout the museum, a VR180 3D film, interactive tactile maps, and immersive installations like The Cave of Hands. The museum also debuts a new brand identity, reinstating its original name and introducing a renewed visual and communication strategy.
Fully accessible and environmentally responsible, the project incorporates sustainable materials and technologies that reduce emissions and offset unavoidable ones—bringing together scientific rigor, creative storytelling, and ecological awareness under one roof.
