The audiovisual show, titled “Toledo’s Lucky Star. The Magic Toy Shop”, combines 3D projections, music and special laser effects.
It will be projected on the city’s Puerta de Bisagra gate on 22 December at 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00 hours.
The show will be “carbon neutral” and will be adapted for persons with disabilities and persons with impaired sight or hearing.
The Municipal Government of Toledo, in partnership with ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño, presents the audiovisual show “Toledo’s Lucky Star. The Magic Toy Shop”, at 19.00, 20.00 and 21.00 hours on 22 December; the show will be projected on the city’s Puerta de Bisagra gate, as a core element of the city’s Christmas celebrations.
The display will use mapping techniques to combine 3D-effect projections, synced to music, and a laser display between shows.
The main thread of this audiovisual spectacular, focusing on commemorating events and scenes linked to Christmas and to childhood spanning generations, will be the relationship between a child, Manu, and his grandfather, Tomás, who, tired of seeing his grandson spending hours engrossed by his tablet, decides to ignite his imagination. Toys from various eras will recreate the world of childhood and its relationship with the Christmas festivities, all “coming to life” on the façade of the Puerta Bisagra city gate. The show will also commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Toledo’s inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage list, which the city celebrates this year.
The display will use four 22,000 lumen projectors, and 32,000 watts of sound distributed in 6 towers, to create a three-dimensional, surround-sound effect.
