One million people watched either live or through streaming services.
The Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Fátima hosted the multimedia project, “Fátima-Tempo de Luz”, a show created by ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño on the 12th, 13th and 14th of October. The show combined projection mapping, light effects and an original soundtrack. It was seen by more than 300,000 people live. In addition, the projection was broadcast live on the three Portuguese public television channels and on several online channels through streaming services, reaching a total of one million people.
With light as the guiding theme, the show reviews the most important historical and spiritual landmarks related to the appearance of the Virgin Mary in the Cova de Iria and the evolution of this location over the last hundred years, articulated in seven different scenes which reflect the experience of the thousands of pilgrims who visit this Sanctuary each year.
For the projection on the facade of the Basilica, about 3,100 m2, 22 projectors were used, with a total power of 580,000 lumens and a resolution of 15,900 pixels. Also, the show has a total installed power of 137,200 watts of sound and 16,800 watts of illumination.
