The company was honoured last Friday October 24th during the award ceremony European Best Event Awards (EuBEA) with the Bronze Elephant for “Best European Public Event 2013” for the design and execution of the audiovisual show “200 years constructing San Sebastian”.

The prize-winning show was projected over the façade of the Town Hall in San Sebastian between June 20th and July 2nd 2013 to commemorate the bicentenary of the burning, destruction and reconstruction of the city through the mapping technique. This open-air project aimed at local citizens and tourists highlighted the value of the city’s cultural legacy by means of a spectacular visual and sonorous journey, possible only by the use of vanguard technology.

The 9th edition of the awards ceremony EuBEA, the European Best Event Awards, took place of Friday in Seville in the Hotel Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento, as the First Live International Festival for Events and Communication. As a novelty this year, the grand festival of European events was for the first time ‘carbon-neutral’ sustainable, thanks to the support of ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño (APD), who – in collaboration with the Seville Congress and Convention Bureau with the Festival- carried out an Integral Plan for Sustainability.

APD had already won the prize in 2012 for European Best Events Awards with the Golden Elephant” for “Best Cultural Event” for the  Commemoration of the VIII Centennial of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and in the 2013 edition with the “Golden Elephant” for “Best Sustainable Event” for the Día de la Musica 2012 and the “Silver Elephant” for “Best Cultural Event” for the  Seville Christmas Mapping 2012.
